My coworker, Tami, asked me to shoot a photo for a new ad idea she came up with. Heart-felt ads. Targeting women and heart disease, featuring one of our heart nurses, with a personal quote and/or story. I did the first one on Friday. This ad will be in the annual Heart Gala program. It is an ad for our Women's Heart Advantage. It will be in color, which is nice, as most of our stuff is black and white. (I found out later that it also ran in the newspaper, black and white.)
Shot this with one light, 300w Promaster monolight, up high and straight on to the "model" through the softbox listed on the right. Shot against a plain grey background, so I could cob the photo out. It sure would work better if I had a background light. I have tried using the SB-900 as a background light, which triggers the monolight, but it is not very reliable. Sometimes the 900 fires the studio strobe, and sometimes it doesn't. I blurred her name out for my blog, but it will appear in the ad.
