Capitol Building

Nikon D40x ~ 55-200 VR
Exposure: 1/160
Aperture: f/6.3
Focal Length: 55 mm
ISO: 100

I took this image in January this year. I like the way the windows in the lower half of the Capitol were reflecting blue. If anyone from around these parts sees this, forgive the fact that I cut off the top decoration! I had my 55-200 on camera, and I had only had my new dSLR for one month, and was still scared to change lenses. LOL.

Bubbles and Sunflowers :)

Family get together last night at our Dad and Stepmom's. Weiner roast, complete with S'mores, over the bonfire. Of course I had to shoot some stuff.

A Kitty Portrait

This is our oldest cat, Asia. She is really our daughter's cat, but she wasn't able to take her with her when she moved out, so we've pretty much inherited her. Funny how we inherit out kids' pets when they move out. Well, she's really the family pet anyway, so it's ok.  I love, love her cute, pink nose!

Crab Apple Blossoms

1/125 second ~ f/3.3 ~ ISO 200 ~ Natural Light

This is one of my favorite photos and I just realized I haven't posted it here. It's one of the very first I took with when my 105 was new. :)

It's a gloomy weekend.

Blog Headers

I decided to make a personal Blog Header! Here's the three others I made. Obviously I went with the header at the top of this blog. I chose it because it is simple, black and white, and won't compete with the color photos I upload. Whadya think?

Evening in the Rose Garden

Dean and I went to the rose garden a few weeks ago and stayed until the sun began to set. I didn't get a good sunset shot, but I liked this photo of the fence and thought it worked well in black and white, sort of capitalizing on the old-fashioned and peaceful feel to the photo.
